Q 1. What kind of a person do you think the narrator, a veterinary surgeon, is? Would you say he is tactful as well as full of common sense?
Ans.- The narrator is a skilled veterinary doctor. He tactfully listens about Tricky’s unhealthy condition but he knows will how to tackle the without medicines.
Q 2. Do you think Tricki was happy to go home? What do you think will happen now?
Ans.- Tricki was very happy to go home because he loved his mistress very much. Now he will be again allowed to over-eat and will again fall ill owing to lack of exercises and over-eating at Mrs. Pumphrey’s house.

Ans.- I think it is a mixture of both, a real episode and fiction. In real life we see some rich people overfeed their pet and then hospitalize it. The author, mixing his own ideas, Produces humour and pity.

Q 1. This episode describes the silly behaviaour of a rich woman who is foolishly indulgent, perhaps because she is lonely. Do you think suvh people a merely silly, or can their actions cause harm to others?
Ans.- Actions of people like Mrs. Pumphrey can cause harm to others as Tricki harmed by over-indulgence of Mrs. Pumphrey. She fed him with extra food like malt, cod liver oil, and Horlicks which harmed him greatly.
Q 2. Do you think there are also parents like Mrs. Pumphrey?
Ans.- Yes, there are also parents like Mrs. Pumphrey, who are foolishly indulgent and feed their children with extra food even when it is not really needed.
Q 3. What would yhou do if you were-
(i) a member of the staff in Mrs. Pumphrey’s household,
Ans.- If I were member of the staff in Mrs. Pumphrey’s household. I would be occupied in looking after her little dog Tricki. I would be busy feeding, bathing, giving him exercise, marking him sleep, turning his cushions and dressing him etc
(ii) a neighbor? What would your life be like, in general?
Ans.- If I were a neighbor of Mrs. Pumphrey, I would be greatly amused at her over-indulgent behavior towards Tricki, her little dog.
I think, sometimes, I might advise, Mrs. Pumphrey to take care of Tricki along right direction. I would ask her not to overfeed him. I would also advise her to give him exercises to keep him fit.
Q 4. What would you do if you were in the narrator’s place?
Ans.- If I were in the narrator’s place, I would openly tell Mrs. Pumphrey that her dog needed environment, exercise and restricted diet and not surgery.
